This month our group will meet at the workshop of Giossi and Kuhn Design, located at 95 Hathaway Street, Providence, 02907.  Matt Giossi and Ron Kuhn exemplify a new generation of highly talented woodworkers specializing in custom furniture and interior work. Both have worked alongside renowned craftsman Hank Gilpin in Lincoln.  From him they learned elegant design, a deep understanding of wood, and expert woodworking skills.  All three are featured in the cover article of the December 2023 issue of Fine Woodworking magazine.  For an introduction to their beautiful creations, check out their website giossiandkuhn.com.

Directions:

“You can pull onto Thurston St off of Elmwood Ave. At the end of Thurston there is a gate that you will pull through. It leads into the Providence paintball parking lot, and our building will be on your left, and an outdoor paintball zone on your right. Directly in front of you is another chain link fence with a big gate. You will pull through that gate and turn left into the back alley of the building. Our shop entrance is on the left hand side of this alley, and you can park all along the right hand side, under the trees. Just be sure to leave room so people can pass through the alley.

People can gps to 79 Thurston, which is the last house on the right, and then follow those instructions to get to our entry, and we can make up some quick signs.”
